    MDaudit Synergy 2024 – Highlights & Takeaways

    We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the 2024 MDaudit Synergy Summit attendees for helping us create the most successful UGM in our history. It was an incredible three days filled with insightful presentations, thought-provoking discussions, and valuable networking. For those unable to join us, here’s a recap of the key moments and sessions from our 2024 Annual User Group Meeting (UGM). 

    Held on October 16-18th, this customer-exclusive, virtual event welcomed nearly 500 attendees from 37 states nationwide.  

    Why Synergy? 

    This year, we launched our new UGM brand, “MDaudit Synergy.” This brand was created to harness the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and synergy. Holistic strategies have generated a lot of excitement within our community, and we hope that this new brand will be a launching pad for thought leadership that supports synergy across our customer’s organizations.  

    Key Sessions 

    This year’s keynote address by Jennie Blumenthal, CEO of Corporate Rehab: Evolved Leadership, was titled, “This Isn’t a Workforce Revolution – It’s a Leadership Evolution” 

    This session explored how neuroscience and leadership strategies are evolving, leveraging a biohacking approach to impact brain pathways that lead us to either survive or thrive. Attending leaders were encouraged to shift their mindsets towards empathy and innovation to drive team retention and well-being. This framework nicely complemented the event’s agenda of harnessing innovation and collaboration to drive success.  

    MDaudit’s AI Vision 

    MDaudit’s CEO, Ritesh Ramesh, took the stage on Day 1 to demystify AI and share MDaudit’s existing capabilities and our future plans to embed AI into the platform, helping users stay ahead of industry trends.

    Growth Roadmap 

    Led by MDaudit’s SVP of Product, Lee-Ann Ruf. This session shared reflections on the 2024 roadmap accomplishments (featuring 360+ new platform features) and unveiled exciting features in 2025 to ensure MDaudit continues meeting customers’ evolving needs. 

    MDaudit’s innovative product strategy incorporates six key elements: customer feedback and requests, market trends, operational efficiencies, continuous improvement, AI technologies and innovative solutions, and business goals. In 2025, we plan to impact even more value around internal workflows, analytics, and payer audits.

    Optimizing Performance: Building KPI-Driven Workplans   

    This session focused on creating work plans aligned with measurable outcomes and real-life examples from MDaudit customers. The session was moderated by MDaudit’s Andrea Johnson and Mia Sullivan. Our customer presenters shared their approach and recommendations for developing metrics that align with organizational objectives. Some of the foundational KPIs they shared included audit productivity per week, the efficacy of provider education, the percentage of providers “touched,” and findings trends and accuracy rates by service line.

    Navigating Regulatory Waters in the Risk Adjustment Space 

    Day 2 started with an in-depth look at Navigating Regulatory Waters in the Risk Adjustment Space, presented by guest speaker Jason Jobes, SVP of Norwood. This informative session covered OIG guidelines, the False Claims Act, and HCC findings. Jobes provided four crucial best practices to help organizations remain compliant.

    Customer Success Stories 

    One of our favorite UGM moments is hearing firsthand success stories from our customers. These stories highlight industry challenges that are being overcome with MDaudit platform solutions. This year, the spotlight shone on nine of our customer organizations who presented topics like leveraging financial impact and missed revenue reports, differentiators for pediatric compliance programs, and executive holistic strategies that strengthen auditing and compliance programs.  

    Customers shared how they successfully shifted to a risk-based audit or hybrid program to address organizational growth with limited resources. Coupled with information from MDaudit, this strategic decision empowered healthcare teams to steadily focus on the risks that were most meaningful to their organization.  

    New Open Mic Session 

    This year featured a third half-day of “Open Mic Sessions.” These sessions allowed participants to engage directly with MDaudit team members. Topics ranged from internal auditing workflows to the future of the Revenue Integrity Suite, offering attendees a chance to get their questions answered and gain more in-depth knowledge about MDaudit’s tools.
